About

If I can listen to what he can tell me, if I can understand how it seems to him; if I can see its personal meaning for him, if I can sense the emotional flavour which it has for him, then I will be releasing potent forces of change in him.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you know there are things you need to work through but aren’t sure how to begin. I offer a warm, safe space where you can explore whatever is on your mind.

My practice is rooted in humanistic therapy. I believe that every individual possesses the inherent capacity for growth and healing. My role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings and experiences. I am committed to understanding your unique journey and supporting you in finding your own path forward.

When you are hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, or terrified - it is essential to be met with understanding and empathy. I am here to listen deeply, validate your feelings, and help you navigate through the complexities of your life. Whether you are grappling with self-worth or uncertain about your identity, I aim to empower you in your journey towards healing and self-discovery.

Together, we can work towards finding clarity and peace in your life.

My training was completed at CPPD. I have experience working with both teenagers and adults across different organisations including Barnet Bereavement Service, Barnet Carers, Online Therapy Services and in Secondary School.

These experiences helped shape my passion for attachment theory, which plays a key role in my approach to counselling. My particular strengths are working with young people.

What to expect from our sessions.

I use the first session as an assessment to understand what is going on for you. Working with young people, I try to build trust by connecting on your level through finding out what you like out of school, hobbies etc.

If you are finding it hard to communicate what you are feeling due to not having had developed a robust emotional language, I use art and imagery as a helpful tool to safely explore your internal world. I also use art as a safe way to support both young people and adults to access your inner child and your subconscious, safely processing any stuck traumas (because I find that direct processing can lead to retraumatization).

Some of the frameworks that I work with include Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. We start with working on what feels safe for you. I use Gestalt to explore your traumas safely. I also Introduce TA to support you with relationship struggles in the present by exploring where this relational negative script comes from, allowing for you to make healthier decisions in the future. I will be facilitating you in getting to know your own mind, its processes and the influence from your past. This will help you to navigate your future with more ease and control.

Having processed my own journey through the developmental stages, which include navigating my faith/religion in the current (sometimes opposing) culture - I have an interest and an in-depth understanding when working with and addressing LGBTQ+ issues. I can help you find your own needs and voice within the current culture and expectations.

Some of the issues I work with include

  • Anxiety

  • Bereavement

  • Depression

  • Eating Disorders

  • Navigating faith to faithlessness

  • Family

  • Health

  • LGBTQ+

  • School

I work with short and long term contracts. I can offer face to face, online and telephone counselling. Please feel free to contact me for further information or to book an appointment.
