The Strength Within Counselling is dedicated to provide a tailored, high quality, inclusive of all, empathic mental health service for adults and young people.

 

The Strength Within Counselling was started in 2020 by Maria Kalinina who believes that everyone should have access to support and that no problem is too great or too small.

Past traumas haunt us, while the unpredictable future worries us -living in the present becomes increasingly more difficult. The constant that we can rely on is change. My aim when I started this mental health practice was to help you take control of the change that you want to make, to claim the life you want for yourself, to find your meaning in your life and live it as fully as possible...Maria Kalinina

 

​​​We work with trauma and complex trauma with various diagnosis and struggles including emotional, relational, physical, religious/faith and sexual issues among many others. We work with issues ranging from low to high risk.  We currently provide mental health assessments, one to one psychotherapy and counselling, along with various mental health duty days.

We are currently working on expanding our services to include group work and various creative workshops.
